Data Data from publications Benchmark data	Paloverde tree visualization software This project, funded by NSF's "Assembling the tree of life" program, aims to develop algorithms and software to facilitate mining of sequence data from the databases to construct large parts of the tree of life. GenBank currently includes sequences from over 150,000 species, but the taxonomic distribution of sequences in the database poses computationally hard problems of data assembly that must be solved prior to conventional phylogenetic analysis (...more)
